Steven Li

CEO​

Steven graduated from SFU psychology major in 2016. At a very young age, Steven has been fond of creating stories with text. Through his college years Steven wrote and published multiple short stories, poems and blogs through online platform. His short story “I’m Sick” has been adapted to an online web show and received many positive feedback. His other achievement include serving as the screenwriter and executive director of reality web show “Couple for a week, Vancouver”.

At Lighthouse, Steven brings valuable original script ideas to present clients’ intentions with a fresh take. His style of mixing trendy culture into his ideas always gives people an unique creative experience.

Oscar Flores

Music Producer

Oscar Flores is a Mexican musician, composer and producer based on Vancouver BC. His name appears in several musical productions, including the foundation of Disruptive Corp, a multidisciplinary art collective, where he is member, producer and composer. Also he leads KidMotor his most recent project.

Kenny Welsh

Visual Director

Kenny Welsh is an indigenous filmmaker, music producer, and visual artist. His work explores the relationships between sound and visuals – how they co-exist and create new meaning through their union. Graduating from Emily Carr University with a Bachelor’s degree in Film and Screen Arts, he continues to push boundaries through music and film.

Frank Pan

Creative Director

Frank Pan started out as a music video director based out of Vancouver,BC. Over the past six years, Frank has grown himself into an experienced director who can take on more complex projects such as creative commercials and narrative storytelling.

His obsession with beautiful cinematography and well-paced storytelling pushes him to always learn and achieve a standard of excellence with every single project he’s involved in. His recent collaborations with numerous up and coming musical talents demonstrated his profound skills on visual storytelling.

Being a former hip-hop artist from Nanjing himself, Frank is now dedicated on bringing his unique vision and perspective to Lighthouse.

Kelvin​

Executive Director

Ivy Zhao’s name might not sound familiar, but her work has gained a high reputation in Vancouver. While attending SFU, she wrote an article documenting her experience at the school and published it online. Within a few days, this article is everywhere reaching over 80K reading volume and has become the “campus brochure” for many international students at SFU.

Even until this day, her article is still being shared and read by many people everyday. Ivy’s prolific writing skills and experience in self-promotion solidifies her ability in marketing and promotion.

Richie

Visual Director

Ziyang Zhang

Executive Director

Roger graduated from Vancouver Film School film production program in June 2015. Over the 7 years in the industry, he worked on multiple productions ranging from Bollywood Music Videos to union movies and TV shows.

With extensive experience, Roger is proficient in every aspect of production including but not limited to lighting, camera, sound, and post production. His knowledge in film making has garnered him the backbone of Lighthouse.

Richie

Art Director

Graduated from Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts with a major in Visual Communication. He is a profession senior visual designer, 3D dynamic designer, and brand visual designer. Based on his 13 years of experience in visual design, He obtained an Adobe Product Expert Certification in 2004. He was invited by a well-known image visual website based in China to write an article explicitly about the interactive experience between Intel and Adobe applications. He also worked at Tianjin Radio and Television Station in China for 8 years, and was a key role in hosting large-scaled public events including concerts, sports games and so on. 

His works include visual design for Tall Grass series under Capital K, which is the best-selling wine brand in North America, visual space design for a fast food restaurant named Asia City, and 8kk bar, and partial visual design for Toronto Trust Bank, which is one of the five largest banks in Canada. Also, Richie competed in a Product Accessory Design hosted by Apple and won the first place, and had been awarded with trophies for his excellent TV Art works and outstanding performance in Broadcast&Television Community for consecutive years. 

Ziyang

Executive Director

A senior director at Light House Culture, he graduated from Capilano University in Vancouver as the top graded student in documentary and film photography major. As an executive director of Light House Culture, he has participated in directing and shooting a number of creative advertising campaigns for the world’s top brands, including: shooting a limited Chinese Valentine’s Day short film for Trump Tower, shooting a quarterly promotional film for the 32nd Mansion – a well-known Michelin 2-star restaurant in Hong Kong – and shooting corporate videos for the world-renowned private jet AirWest, etc. His agile, deep and personal shooting technique has won great praise worldwide.

In the meanwhile, he participated in the shooting and production of many large-scale documentaries, including cooperating with the famous domestic documentary filming company “Zhi Liao” to shoot a large number of well-known documentaries for platforms such as Youku.

Kelvin​

Executive Director

Kelvin graduated from Emily Carr University of Art and Design, with a major in Film & Screen Arts. He is one of the most popular pioneers in Vancouver for his visual creativity. His famous film, “Datura”, was awarded at various independent film festivals. He directed several music videos enriched with pop styles and created album covers for rap singer PlanZ under Jony J music label (SHOOC). In 2019, he worked for DOK2GONZO THUNDERGROUND World Tour as a photographer in North America region, and shot visual recordings of the concerts for Korean Hip-Hop superstar DOK2, CEO of Illionaire record label. In addition, his visual works have had cross-border collaborations with Korean fashion brands NightFlow and 51 PERCENT. Collaboration fields include film, photography, music, fashion, installation art, etc.

His works are enriched with personal image style using impactful scene arrangement, contrasting picture color, and tense lens selection. Kelvin has become the foremost filmmaker and visual artist in Vancouver in recent year.
